…is what I need from this moment. I want to go somewhere far, far away and isolate myself for a while. I want to be away from people who doesn’t help me feel good but put me down instead. I want to be in a quiet place, a serene place where all I can hear is the sound of the birds perhaps. I know I am being sentimental now. I really am. This day has just been full of pains.

But where will I go? I can’t think of a certain place to go. Oh well, maybe I will just have to stay where I am now and “suck it all up”. I finally used that phrase. That’s one of the phrases I’ve learned from my fiance’ because he always uses it. Well, that put a smile on my face…at least.

Yep, mom’s on her way back home. I did talk about her trip here previously and at this very minute, she and her friends are in the middle of the ocean and sailing through the waters of Sarangani Bay. The boat will dock at our city’s pier anytime tonight. I don’t know the exact time but knowing that dad was already able to contact mom on her cellphone meant that she’s near. I think the boat will touch down around 7 or 8 o’clock.

The kids are so excited for their granny’s arrival and it’s not just because they missed her presence but also because of the pasalubong or gifts they will get. I’m a little excited about it too actually. Hehe. I can’t wait to see what mom has gotten for me. My son has been sending her SMS to buy me a shirt. I don’t know if mom really bought me one though. I will find out tonight. I can’t wait.
Not for me though but for my mom who left for Zamboanga City yesterday to attend their organization’s annual conference. She left with nine other members of the church organization called DMI or Daughters of Mary Immaculate. Mom has been a member for years and I can’t even remember when she started but I can still recall the conferences and seminars she’s been through and there were a lot.

They traveled to the city by boat and they arrived there at around 11 o’clock this morning. My son Yogi and her were exchanging SMS earlier and they are now checking the city’s malls hoping to find “pasalubong” for us, I guess. Hehe. The conference will start tomorrow yet so they all have the time today to navigate and explore the city.

I’ve been to the city once and that was when we traveled to Manila when I was 6 years old. We haven’t explored the city that much though because we didn’t have ample time.

Anyway, enjoy your vacation, mom. We’ll see you soon! (“,)

Yep, and that’s because I was able to go out of the house again for two consecutive days after just being here for weeks. I’ve always been a homebody and I am a always lazy to go out. I just go out when I have to meet a friend or if I have to buy something or if I’m going to a party. I was at the mall yesterday to buy a gift for my godson and today, I went to his first birthday party.

The party was held at a resort which is about a 20 minute ride by car from our place. It is a resort located in the middle of a huge rice field and it was nice. Glad the weather is gloomy and drizzly because it could have been super duper hot in there if the sun was up again. The sun did peek every now and then but that was just it. Well, at least I still got to see the sunshine. Hehe.
Rest and relaxation…who doesn’t want it? My life has not been really that super duper hectic but still I wanted to go somewhere to unwind. Just to be away from people around me for even just a day or two. Somewhere where it is quiet and all I can hear is the sound of the leaves or the chirping of the birds or the sound of the waves touching the shore. I want to go somewhere peaceful where I will feel like the world is perfect and there are no problems at all.

But I know that what I’m thinking is really something impossible. Problems will always be a part of one’s life. It is life’s spices and maybe I will just have to think that life won’t be life without those spices. Yes, life is beautiful but it won’t be beautiful without the flaws that would make you realize how beautiful life is. Am I making sense? Whatever! LOL.
