Last Thursday was spent shopping for fresh goodies at the Farmer’s Market and it would not have been possible without our good friend, Carol who took me there. After that, we were supposed to go straight home , but she wanted to drive me around and see the neighborhood and her daughter’s house nearby. That was my first time to have seen their house and it is really nice. They’ve been there for only about a year so everything still looks brand-new.
I specifically liked the kitchen and the living room because they’re both spacious and the plantation shutters in their windows are simply awesome. I like the island that they’ve got in their kitchen too and the big storage spaces all over the house. How I wish we had a house like that. Hopefully soon, God willing!
Being a stay at home mom can be boring at times. That is what my neighbor told me, though with what she does everyday, it seems to me like she never gets bored. Her two kids are home schooled and she has a two year old kid to attend to. She has vegetable and flower gardens and, not to forget, the household chores that she has to deal with everyday.
I want to go into gardening or perhaps hydroponics too to keep me busy so at least I won’t get bored and perhaps lessen the time that I am idle. More so when I saw the flowering plants in the market the other day. I want the same beauty gracing my surroundings.
One thing that the land of Uncle Sam has that we don’t have in my home country are the signs. From road signs to signs in the parking lot, etc. And that’s one thing that I like it here. The government is really up to the people’s safety.
This is the sign that we saw at the parking lot in the grocery store that we frequents. My husband was amused that day because it’s been a while since he’s allowed to park in that spot. If we are not here now, he won’t still be allowed to park. Hee hee.
I am sitting here in front of the computer in our bedroom, but I can see my husband at the counter in the washroom tinkering with something. I think it’s the rechargeable batteries for his razor. It’s Saturday so it’s one of his days to shave. This is one day of the week that he does it because he is busy with work during weekdays and he’s too tired to clean up when he gets home, and in his line of work, maintenance in a factory, he‘s not too concerned with his daily appearance at work.
So he does his shaving on his own personal schedule unless we have a special occasion to go to or he has non-work appointments. And since it’s Mother’s Day tomorrow and we are going to have brunch next door and he wants to look good for me or it will not be a happy Mother’s Day for me, which would make it a not-so-good day for him. Hee hee.
It’s already May and next month, we will have our first road trip ever here in the U.S. It may be a little expensive, but as they say, you can always earn the money, but not the excitement and fun that a trip brings.
I’ve been saving for this upcoming trip as well as the husband. And by the time of our departure, I know we will have enough money to spend and we won’t need any payday loans. Well, not unless we are going to do more shopping before the trip. I have to ask the husband about that. (“,)
