We had just left the supermarket when we see the dark clouds coming in from the north. We knew we needed to get hurry home because it was definitely another thunderstorm coming. The wind was blowing hard and we actually saw tree branches scattered all over the highway because of the wind. I lost my cell phone signal momentarily. I wonder if the storm had something to do with that. I didn’t even have a signal when we reached home which made me think of a home cellular booster for an instant, but it came back after about ten minutes.
That really scared me. It wasn’t the first time that has happened, but it was the first time that we were out. We were usually at home during thunderstorms. I’m glad we got home safe and had no need of making an emergency call.
Are you ready yet? To give your Father’s Day gift to your husband or dad, that is. Mine is ready and is only waiting to be wrapped. I got my husband a personalized t-shirt that says “World’s Sweetest Dad” with his name on it and I got my dad a personalized mug with his name on it. They will love it, no doubt.
I always like to personalize gifts because it is unique, and this is not the first time that they are going to receive a personalized gift from me because it has always been my gift of choice. How about you? If you are still in the verge of searching for a gift, click here and you will see a lot of great gift ideas.
I was washing the steamer on the sink a while ago when I noticed something moving on our backyard. I thought it was one of those friendly and playful squirrels again, but I had this feeling that it wasn’t because it was way much bigger and its tail was not standing like those of the squirrels. I didn’t get my eyes off it and waited for it to hop. In my mind I was thinking that if it will hop, then it is a rabbit.
And behold, it hopped after a few minutes. It was indeed a rabbit. It has a grey color and I don’t know if it’s a male or a female. It’s quite a big one. Wished I had taken a photo, but I don’t think I will get a good snap shot since it’s a bit too far from where I was. It hopped and hopped until it reached our neighbor’s tool shed. It hid underneath it.
My husband told me before that he hasn’t seen a rabbit for a while now. He will be delighted when I will tell him the news later.
Our home is situated on top of a hill and we can see the interstate highway from our house. And yes, we can hear the roar of the vehicles zooming by on the highway with so much clarity. Try to imagine the noise it makes.
And you know what? Hearing the sirens of ambulance or police cars, and even hearing the noise an air ambulance service makes up in the air is not something new to us. We hear such most everyday.
Sometimes I think with sadness that somebody is injured somewhere everyday. Such is life, I guess.
