We had power outages one day last week – one during daytime and thrice during night time. My husband called the power company to report the incident and before he could finish talking, the power came back on. But it went off again when we were in bed.
I’m so thankful for our flashlights because they give us light during outages. My husband has them plugged to the outlet and they automatically light up when there is a power outage. I am thankful for our universal battery charger too because our batteries are always charged and are ready whenever there’s the need for them.
Our recent trip to the nearby city – about a three-hour drive from here – was exhausting, but totally worth it. We left at 4 o’clock in the morning so, we had to get up at 3 o’clock to prepare. We had to do it because our appointment is at 7:30 in the morning. Obviously, it was still dark when we hit the road, but our concern was, it was also foggy. My husband is a good driver, but we do know accidents can happen anytime. I was worried most especially when we were traveling the roads that had no street lights. It was really dark.
But thank God, we had a safe and sound trip and we made it on time to our appointment. And of course, we had great news for that appointment. Hooraaay to that!!! And since my husband still had to get back to work before noon, we headed straight back home right after the appointment. So, just imagine how exhausting that was. Well, I was actually the only one who complained of being exhausted. My two boys? Nah-a! (“,)
I came across a Back pain seminar online today and I was like, “Darn! That is simply what I need!” Honestly, I am suffering from lower back pain from time to time now. Although I have this feeling that it is not something serious, still it bothers me. I always tell the husband that it’s no denying that I am really getting old. LOL.
I know my sitting in front of the computer almost the entire day has something to do with it. I refuse to take pain medicines because the pain is still tolerable. I know all I need is a little exercise. A walk to and from the living room and bedroom is fine enough which I do whenever I feel the need. For now it is enough, but I know it will not be enough. No problem. I will walk miles once I get to the mall. (“,)
If we were still in my home country now, my 8-yeard-old son would have had his first communion and my previous days would have been spent looking for first communion for boys gifts.
I don’t know how things are done here. Back home, the schools are the ones who organize the event since majority of the students are Catholics. I haven’t heard anything from the school here so maybe I’ll need to research on this one to find it out myself.
We went to Target yesterday to buy a shoe rack for me. I’ve been wanting to do it because I don’t like seeing all those shoe boxes filling up my closet. As the neat freak me, I want them neatly arranged in a shoe rack not to mention, I can see them right up too.
It was already late in the afternoon when we left home so, I was thinking that maybe, there will be not much traffic. Target is located near the mall which is located in one of the busiest streets here in the city so, imagine the traffic that we had to go through. The husband was expecting it, but not me. And the parking lot at Target was jam-packed too. I should have thought that it was Saturday and it is the shopping day for most people especially those who are busy with work during weekdays.
But we made it through and it didn’t really take us that long. Also, I got my shoe rack now and I couldn’t be happier. Yippee!!!
